Okay, people, it is almost 6:00 pm.  It is a little bit rainy, but no reason not to come to Botanical Gardens and listen to the local media reps talk about local politics.

Well, Patty has some decorations set up, and the posters.  There is the membership table, where people may pay some dues, and help us out.  Bob is putting up the banner in the main room.

What issues ought to be discussed? 
1.  Maybe Larry Langford situation, though that is not really a OTM issue, I suppose what he does affects us all. 
2.  Sewer issue, 
3.  Occupational tax.  Aren’t we supposed get a refund?  I have some thoughts about that that I might share later.
4.  Don and Richard.

I really don’t know much about local politics.

In Hoover the immigration issue was big in the last election for mayor.  I suppose it still is, but less so.  Maybe with the economy going down, there is less concern about jobs begin taken, since no one has a job anymore.

I think the development strategies of the OTM communities might be worth investigating.  Especially Hoover, since Hoover seems to have the most room to grow, and they seem to grow in the same way all the time.

Patti has put up a jack-o-lantern on the table here.  Looks good.
Crowd is filtering in.  John is here, so it may be time to get going.  Crowd is filling up.  It is 6:18 pm now.
