New Leadership Structure

By a unanimous voice vote…
the OTMDems membership in attendance approved a plan for a transitional leadership committee to develop by-laws, conduct officer elections, organize our 2008 election support efforts, foster membership renewal & recruitment, and our other important areas of emphasis - the Ministers’ Caucus, website & internet, and issues & programs for the year.

The adopted motion reads as follows:

  “A Transitional Leadership Committee (“TLC”) shall immediately
  be formed composed of the following five members of the
  Over the Mountain Democrats: Scott Cole, John Crenshaw,
  Bob Parker, Barry Ragsdale, and Linda Verin. The TLC
  shall assume primary responsibility and authority for the
  organization, management and administration of the
  Over the Mountain Democrats until such time, not to exceed
  eight months, as a permanent governance structure is adopted
  and implemented by the membership of the Over the Mountain Democrats.
  The responsibilities of the TLC shall include the selection and
  appointment of subcommittees to effectuate the drafting and adoption
  of appropriate by-laws, the identification and development of programs,
  the recommendation for a permanent governance structure, and all
  other matters necessary to the continued growth and vitality
  of the Over the Mountain Democrats.”
